ARGOS Centre for Art and Media is one of Belgium‘s leading contemporary art centres, focusing on the audiovisual and visual arts and the cutting-edge diversity that increasingly characterises these disciplines. Argos promotes new forms of artistic practice, keeps an eye on internationally acknowledged developments and generates discussion on visual and media culture. By organising exhibitions, talks, lectures and screenings, Argos commits itself to promoting, distributing, collecting and preserving contemporary artistic works on video.

Paul Willemsen is a curator, who, since 1996 has been leading Argos, the Brussels based centre for art & media. A graduate of the RITS Academy in Brussels, he started out as a film director; making a number of documentaries and television programs about contemporary visual art – before switching to writing and curating. Before joining Argos Willemsen held positions in several institutions in Belgium and the Netherlands.
