FUNNY VERSUS BIZARRE.
Kestutis Kuizinas
IV. 18 - V. 25
The exhibition of contemporary art of the Baltic and Nordic countries 'Funny versus Bizzare' contained 50 modern works from nine Baltic and Nordic countries including sculptures, photographs, installations and performances in which even laughing gas was used…

This exhibition was conceived as a challenge to the preconceived opinion that Northerners do not have a sense of humour. It aimed to pose silent questions to the audience and encourage revelations. The exhibition revealed a link between laughter and seriousness and aimed to discover the limits of social tolerance and liberal thinking.
