Born in Istanbul, Turkey in 1977, Hüner creates artworks that are critical of the future discourse, which analyzes the complexity of societies that are being constantly reinforced by technology, architecture, science etc. Nonetheless, an intimate acknowledgement of historical backgrounds of war, and evolution is reflected in the production of his artworks which vary in form: from sculpture, drawing to animation and video, Emre Hüner offers a surreal voyage towards concepts of futuristic societies, the overview of humans and nature, between mystery life forms and indefinite empires.

Some of his best-known films, Jugernaut (2009, 22 min.), E.N.I.A.C (2003, 6 min.), Panoptikon (2005, 12 min.), Wake X! (2005, 3 min.), Boumont (2006, 14 min.), Total Realm (2008, 9 min.) and three silent films Diamond Head Diving Man , (2012), Aeolian Processes #1 (2012), Aeolian Processes #2 (2012) will be shown at CAC Cinema September 25 - 28th. The different narratives transcend into a depiction of utopic environments, which constitute a phantasmagoric reality, all encompassing issues of collective consciousness. Hüner was featured at many exhibitions and gallery spaces, such as Manifesta 9 (2012) in Belgium, at the sixth Asia Pacific Triennial (2009) in Australia, 10th International Istanbul Biennial (2007).
