For the creation of the piece Geography with the Vilnius Contemporary Art Center from September, 14th to September, 23rd 2012 Annie Vigier and Franck Apertet (les gens d’Uterpan) are looking for 4 Lithuanian dancers (male/female)

An audition will take place in Arts Printing House the 22nd and 23rd of June 2012. The dancers chosen have to be available for rehearsal and performance between August 10th and September 23rd.

Geography consists in performing an original choreography during 10 days and during several hours, within a space fitted out in the Contemporary Art Center. This experimental piece will question the norms that define dance and performance and examine the conventions of exhibition settings.

The French choreographers Annie Vigier and Franck Apertet would like to meet Lithuanian contemporary dancers interested by the experimentation of new attitudes that engage physical limits and question the notions above-mentioned.

The intended applicants are contemporary dancers but, above all, performers able to question their practice and assume an extreme precise and demanding physical work, more particularly regarding it length. For this singular collective experience, we are waiting from these dancer-performers a big strictness, a real engagement into the project and forceful personality.

Dancers interested by the audition are welcome to the Arts Printing house on June 22nd and 23rd from 10am to 5 pm.
